Whilst at the Child Survival Programme, we were privileged to hear from Simeneh Tadese, a young man who graduated from the Leadership Development Programme in 2007. He was assisting us with translation for the day but also used this opportunity to witness to the mothers and children.
“Compassion is my everything” he said, “I was one poor child who is now a fulfilled Christian adult. This is my wish that your children could reach the same point.” Mother’s found strength, hope and encouragement for their own children through this testimony. Simeneh’s father passed away when he was just four years old. His mother brought him up but the family situation was difficult. He saw Compassion as their lifeline and he thanks God for Compassion and the difference it has made to him and his family.
